IPS AMONG THE BEST-ORGANIZED E-SCIENCE INSTITUTIONS

Librarians and NIO editors of several institutes with the best organized e-Science portal were invited to the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation on Sunday, March 17. The occasion was a student internship at the Department of Librarianship and Informatics, and the selected librarians had the opportunity to accept a student for internship, who in the next two weeks will be introduced to work on the institute’s bibliographic databases (repository and e-Science) and citation databases.

The assembled librarians of the institute were addressed by Ivana Branković on behalf of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation; prof. Dr. Gordana Stokić, head of the Department of Library Science and Informatics at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, and then librarians Dr. Jelena Banović and Milica Ševkušić. Among those present were Marija Veličković (NITRA), prof. Dr. Bojan Đorđević and Assoc. Dr. Gordana Djokovic.

The Institute for Political Studies, Belgrade, has its Repository with 1,500 references in free access, as well as e-Science, with more than 2,600 verified references. Employed librarian Ms. Dajana Lazarevic has been managing both databases since October 2022, and in the past year she has published several scientific articles on the subject of the IPS Library, highlighting the great importance of director Dr. Misha Stojadinović, Ph.D., and deputy director Dr. Zoran Milošević, in the establishment of the Library and its management .

We are looking forward to the success of the Institute for Political Studies in editing bibliographic data bases and the arrival of librarianship students for practice.
