EXHIBITION OF “AUTOGRAPHS OF COURAGE” IN THE RUSSIAN HOME
On the twenty-fifth of June, the “Autographs of Courage” exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders was held in the Russian House in Belgrade. The exhibition was prepared in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Serbia, the National Library of Belarus in Minsk and the Russian House in Belgrade.
The exhibition was opened by Georgy Engelhart, representative of the Russian House in Belgrade. The gathered were addressed by H.E. Sergej Malinovski, ambassador of R. of Belarus in Serbia, while his address was delivered in Serbian by Pavel Mironov, advisor to the ambassador.
In addition to prominent cultural and scientific workers, the opening of the exhibition was attended by a delegation from the Institute for Political Studies, led by Dr. Zoran Milošević, the most prominent representative of Belarusian-Serbian scientific ties.
The exhibition, in addition to historical facts about the Second World War, also presented examples from Belarusian literature, which wrote about the struggle of the Belarusian people against the Nazi invaders.
In connection with the exhibition, we can say that the Institute for Political Studies is preparing for publication the monograph of Viktor Yermolovich “Belarus in the Second World War”, which is the first of its kind in Serbia. It was also the first book in its motherland, Belarus, which comprehensively presented all the circumstances and events of the war, published in the Belarusian language.
