THE LOGIC OF THE ORTHODOX CIVILIZATION

Abstract

The book before you will seek to explore the systems of meaning in Orthodox civilization. Basically, we could subsume the entire Christian civilization under three separate ones, Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox. This book will focus exclusively on the research of what we would call the Orthodox Civilization.

What is meant by Orthodox civilization? The population of a country inherits a certain capacity of social messages. Inheriting religious affiliation is particularly characteristic of the Orthodox religious community. Orthodox Christianity is treated not only as an inalienable part of national identities, but also interpreted as the only possible Christianity: “the only and correct faith”.  

In the book, the basic problematic question arises as to how, to what extent, and in what ways the Orthodox approach to the Christian faith determines social relations and material scopes in something that we could subsume under the term Orthodox civilization? The book aims to depict the area of ​​manifestation of the Orthodox approach to the Christian faith from collective representations and to interpret the system of meanings and values.
