ПОХАРА СРПСКОГ ЈЕЗИКА
THE SCOURGE OF THE SERBIAN LANGUAGE
Abstract
Dear readers,
Before you is the book “The scourge of the Serbian language” in which the author’s notes on the suffering of the Serbian language and the Cyrillic alphabet are collected. The two-time winner of the “Pavle Ivić” award talks about the sale of the Serbian language on official duty and textbook pornography. What does the author of this monograph mean by those terms?
The modern Serbian language was established by the efforts of Vuk Karadžić during the second decade of the 19th century. All efforts to destroy the Serbian ethnic space and the Serbian ethnic corpus began with the destruction of the Serbian language and its script.
In our society, one can easily obtain the highest knowledge and honors in the political, scientific and cultural hierarchy even when speaking and writing badly. Why bother with the language if you can be a minister and an academic without it. All over the country, illiterate books are printed and sold (at high prices) in large numbers every day. Those books easily find both reviewers and publishers here.
The system of our social and cultural values is in crisis. It is clear that in the conditions of an emphasized, highly branched subculture, where comics and entertaining novels, bad films (violence, horror and horror) prevail among readers and audiences over masterpieces of literature and cinematography, language has nothing to look for either.
How to make fun of Cyrillic?
Cyrillic once and will it ever again?
How to destroy science?
In the unusual and original edition of the Institute for Political Studies, imbued on page 265 read whether the battle for the Cyrillic alphabet or the battle with windmills is being fought today.
