PRESENTATION OF THE INSTITUTE FOR SLAVIC STUDIES FROM PARIS
As part of the 66th International Book Fair in Belgrade, on Sunday, October 29, 2023, the presentation of the Institute for Slavic Studies from Paris, an institution with which the Institute for Political Studies successfully cooperates, was held at the stand of the country of honor, France, in Hall 2 of the Belgrade Fair.
President of the Institute for Slavic Studies in Paris, Prof. Dr. Hélène Mélat and Secretary General Prof. Dr. Sylvie Archaimbault, on the occasion of the centenary of the existence of this distinguished institution, talked about current projects, as well as the establishment of the Institute for Slavic Studies in the house of the famous Slavist and Sorbonne professor Ernest Denis, in which the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes also participated.
Dr. Aleksandra Kolaković, Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Political Studies, Belgrade, and manager of joint projects, spoke about the cooperation between the two scientific institutions, as well as the Republic of France and Serbia in the field of science. During this conversation, Dr. Kolaković emphasized the most important results of cooperation, which include the collection La France et la Serbia: les défis de l’amitié éternelle (two editions, 2021, 2023) as well as two special editions of the magazine Serbian Political Thought from 2018. and 2022, also in French. Dr. Kolaković suggested that an initiative be launched so that Ernest Denis, the founder of the Institute for Slavic Studies in Paris, gets a street in Belgrade on the occasion of the centenary of the Institute for Slavic Studies in Paris.
Dr. Stanislav Sretenović, Scientific Advisor at the Institute for Contemporary History, also participated in the conversation, and the moderator was prof. Dr. Livija Ekmečić, Associate of the Institute for Slavic Studies in Paris.
