БЕЛИ ШУМ НА ДРУШТВЕНИМ МРЕЖАМА: УЛОГА ДРУШТВЕНОГ КАПИТАЛА У ИЗБОРНИМ КАМПАЊAMA

Сажетак

Аутор анализира неке од разлога зашто друштвени медији нису значајније утицали на резултате избора за председника Србије одржане априла 2017. године и зашто је њихов утицај у великој мери био негативан. Наведени су унутрашњи и спољнополитички чиниоци који су допринели да исход избора буде предвидив и фрустрирали антирежимски активизам. Стављајући нагласак на деловање присталица кандидата опозиције на Твитеру, аутор представља њихов дискурс и истиче разлоге зашто је водио деструктивној поларизацији и, у суштини, олакшавао посао кандидату владајуће коалиције. Чак и када је реч о најумреженијем сегменту урбане популације, обиље увреда и ружних речи, упућених не толико кандидату владајуће коалиције колико његовим присталицама и другим кандидатима опозиције, представља главно обележје политичког ангажмана који је више био усмерен на прикупљање социјалног капитала и аутооријенталистичко истицање дистинкције него на борбу за промену. Истакнут је сет фактора који доприносе да све важнији друштвеномедијски социјални капитал буде препрека демократизацији, сврсисходном политичком деловању и развоју политичке културе. Аутор у специфичној природи и динамици политичке сцене обликоване током претходних деценија и антидруштвеном наличју друштвених медија налази разлоге за песимизам када је реч о могућности да они добију конструктивнију улогу у изборним кампањама у Србији.
