Сажетак

Да ли је и под којим условима неолиберална економска политика примењива у Централној и Источној Европи после слома комунизма 1989. године? У првом делу износи се дефиниција неолиберализма као економског система у коме доминира приватна својина, лична иницијатива, тржишна алокација ресурса и минимална држава. Ова дефиниција изведена је из привредних модела САД и Велике Британије током осамдесетих година 20. века. Потом се разматра теза о несавршености тржишта и државно решење за проблем информационе асиметрије, одн. проблем принципала и агента. Будући да сама ствара политичке фелере и неефикасну алокацију ресурса, државна интервенција може се оправдати једино ако је сама утемељена у институционалном решењу за проблем принципала и агента.
