THE CONCEPT OF THE “ETERNAL LEFT” BY ERNST NOLTE
In the article, the author tries to present Ernst Nolte’s understanding of the “eternal left”. The author starts with the question of whether the concepts of right and left are still usable today. In order to offer an answer to this question, the paper points to the long-established transepochal self-identity of the left. To explain this identity, the author points to the notion of the “eternal left” which was developed within Ernst Nolte’s philosophy of history, where the “eternal left” is seen as one of the “historical constants”. The text then enumerates the key characteristics of the “eternal left” as understood by Nolte, that is, points out its origin and consequences. Since the fall of communism cannot be considered the final defeat of the “eternal left”, the author tries to show that Nolte’s understanding is still relevant in our time and that his description of the “eternal left” has not lost its importance.

OSWALD SPENGLER AND PRUSSIAN SOCIALISM
In this article, the author examines Oswald Spengler's concept of Prussian socialism. In the first part of the work, Spengler is presented as a political writer, and his political thought is connected with his philosophical ideas. As a political writer, Spengler belonged to the stream of conservative revolution. In the second part, the author tries to emphasize the difference between this current of conservative thought and liberal conservatism, pointing out that the roots of Spengler's understanding of socialism lie in the older conservative criticism of the market. In the last part, the author considers Spengler's conservative understanding of socialism, its influence on the German conservative revolution, and its importance in today's times.

CONSERVATISM, RISE AND FALL

IS THERE A RISE OF RIGHT-WING POPULISM IN EUROPE?
During the last few years, there has been a lot of talk about the rise of right-wing populism in European countries. Usually, this is not a value-neutral statement and the supposed rise of right-wing populism is often perceived as a danger or challenge to democracy. Yet, there are at least three objections to this widely accepted statement. First, it remains uncertain what populism really is, and what is it supposed to mean. The second objection is a problematic measure of the alleged “rise” and unclear starting position. The third problem is the normative tone of the statement which suggests that the right-wing conservative position is somehow problematic by itself and thus illegitimate. In this paper, the author will elaborate on these three points, claiming that the so-called rise of right-wing populism is indeed only an attempt of the national-conservative forces to reclaim their original political identity and articulate their positions in the new circumstances.
